I think what often happens is during shipping, the fancy metal "hinge" for lack of a better word, that connects head and foot boards to the side boards get bent inwards (from boxes being stacked, etc.). Had to use pliers to pry them out a little bit. Other than that, and one slat beam hole misdrilled, fit perfectly. Very sturdy and not rickety at all as other reviewer noted. Was impressed at number of slats included (8) and everything is screwed (not nailed) for durability.Only thing I could think that would make it better would be if it had drawers underneath. Then, it would be a lot more expensive and complicated to put together I guess. Would buy again without hesitation.
