They're right... for a good cheap platform frame, it's pretty solid. It's quite high off the floor, which is great for storing stuff under it, but is a little odd for something that's futonic.It's easy to put together, and the advice to tighten the screws again after the first few weeks is good advice. I've un-assembled this and re-assembled it, and it's still solid. I assembled it by myself in just under an hour. It was a joy to assemble; the parts fit together just as described and the steps to assemble were simple. The assembled bed is very sturdy. I walked across it without the mattress on and I felt no weakness when applying my full weight (135 lbs) to a single slat. I had been concerned that the spacing between the slats would be noticeable through my 10 inch latex mattress, but that turned out to not be the case. I wasn't too excited about having four screws in the center of the head and foot boards of the bed, but a simple bed skirt hides them well.The bed has become a welcome addition to my home! |
